This book really opened my eyes to a structured way to grow your business by means of influencers. The author does a great job at making the material totally doable. Each chapter walks you through the process and is very encouraging. You don’t have to know a thing about influencer marketing which is perfect for an early stage entrepreneur like me.I found the parts about leveraging local influencers especially helpful. It’s easy to fall into the trap of chasing celebrities but there are far better ways to spend your time and this book shows you how.I love how the author stresses win-win strategies and promotes authenticity. This was important to me because networking in general sometimes makes me feel sleazy…there was no shower needed after reading this book. I happily only encountered positive vibes throughout this fantastic text and look forward to implementing the steps in my own business.

This book is fantastic! I purchased the digital and physical copy so that I can have one version on my Kindle and the paperback version so that I can bookmark pages of high interest. Problem is, I want to bookmark almost every page! I just started three, count them, three (3) businesses as a side hustle and I'm looking to use the information in this book to help me succeed. I see a real need to implement the stratigies in this book to build relationships with influencers in every one of my new ventures. Cloris dispells the fear of reaching out to those who have already attained the success I desire, with up close & personal examples of her own journey to savvy entrepreneur. I feel like I can do the things she is teaching because she even includes bonus templates to help me get started! It seems I now have no excuses!

Quoting Cloris Kylie's own words "sometimes you only need to find others who would help you to gain momentum and get over the initial hump" I got this book to hear the author's perspective on how to get over the initial hump. I'm glad I did for I cannot wait to impliment some of the wealth of information in this book!I like that Beyond Influencer Marketing is written from the writer's own personal experience and its structure is based on what has worked for the writer, all weaved through strategies, stories and examples.If you are a coach, consultant or any service provider, do yourself a favor and get this book. Not only will you get invaluable information but you will simultaneously adopt the correct mindset to help you avoid roadblocks, become influencer ready, build long-lasting relationships and more. Highly recommended!

Reading just one chapter makes it clear that Kylie knows her stuff (but read the WHOLE book for rich nuggets of information you can use to bring your business to the next level). Her writing is clear and crisp, allowing the reader to digest the information and absorb the concepts. Kylie has an uncanny ability to translate complex ideas, tasks and processes into readily manageable actions, which is key for business owners that need to focus on speed and results.I especially appreciated Kylie's integrity, which is imbued throughout this helpful book. While it would be easy to see this great book as "just a business book" on influencer marketing, it's much more than that. Throughout the book, Kylie relates real life examples and stories, always underscoring values and integrity. Rather than coming from a place of "me, me, me", Kylie focuses on the value the reader can first provide to others and then only work with resources that match their principles. This approach makes her a strong, credible authority and she demonstrates how good guys can finish at the top.Great book for learning and an even better resource guide to return to over and over again. I loved the Kindle version so much that I'm going to publish the physical copy, too. Will be great to add notes to it as I listen to her podcast!

Whether if your starting your business or already been in business for awhile , this book is a must read!!! You will learn powerful ways on how to build relationships with influencers. Its not as hard as you think but you do need to put some effort on your end. You need learn how to find influencers, how to research them, different way to connect to their audience, common mistakes people make during outreach etc.Most of all I like how the author focuses on build a long term relationship rather then just having a one time interaction and you disappear. You need to be strategic in your approach where both you and them win all round. Highly recommend this book.

My 11yo Novalee has read Front Desk at least six times in the past few weeks. She keeps coming back to it. Here's her review:The novel, Front Desk by Kelly Yang, was a very interesting and exciting book. It shows stories of immigrants, the story of a ten year old running a motel, and the hardships of the Tang family. Mia is a ten year old girl who moved to America from China when she was eight years old. Though, her family is poor and is struggling in this country. When she and her family get employed in a motel called the Calivista, Mia runs the front desk. The story also follows Mia to school, around her motel, and through her memories back to China.One reason why I loved this book was learning about the Tangs’ hardships. I think that this book can open the eyes of many people to how immigrating is hard and painful to many. When I learned about what the Tangs went through, I thought about what it must have been like for everyone else like them. More people need to know about these people and what they go through, and how they make America a great and stronger country.One feature of the book I liked was that it shows stories of other Chinese immigrants. Like one, a true tale, was told by a man named Zhang. When he first came to America, he had borrowed money from the loan sharks,(500, to be precise), and then he had gotten a job in a restaurant to pay the loan sharks back. His employer had confiscated his passport and ID, and Zhang had to sleep in the boss’s basement. But, Immigration came to the cafe, and the employees were forced to escape. The point is, all the immigrants had very hard jobs, and they had no choice but to do them. This was a detail that came throughout the story that made the story more detailed and envisionable.Those were the reasons why I loved this book, and you should definitely read this book.

FRONT DESK is loosely based on author Kelly Yang’s life experience, as explained in an author’s note at the end of the book.Her straightforward writing makes this book perfect for younger middle grade readers (Mia is 10). Yet Yang tackles difficult issues like interpersonal, systemic, and institutional racism. She writes so simply and honestly, it’s hard to imagine a young person walking away without understanding these powerful messages.FRONT DESK is infused with dark truths about America and still manages to be light, heartwarming, and fast-paced. Lovable Mia solves problems by using her writing skills—not her math skills as her mother wishes she would. She beats the system by using her words, often disguised as the words of adults, to point out injustices and find pathways to a better life for her family and friends.Mia’s and her parents’ find—actually, create—community at the Calavista Motel. They fight back when multiple systems conspire to make life impossible for Hank, an African American man who lives at the hotel. They devise a system to hide desperate Chinese immigrants in vacant rooms. This is deep social justice work, accompanied by anecdotes of Mia’s follies at the front desk and problems at school.The book ends on a hopeful note, with the Tangs’ community surrounding them to help them take the first step off the poverty rollercoaster. The solution they come up with has a chance at helping others get off, too.FRONT DESK shifts the narrative about the American experience, acknowledging that there are many American experiences. The pathway to the American Dream can take many forms, and Yang has described one that is heart wrenching, hopeful, and a lot of fun along the way.

I loved this book. A friend recommended it and I had my 9 YO read it. It tackles the issues of poverty, immigration, racism and classism in a way that's surprisingly simple, honest, and age-appropriate. Best of all, the story is based on the author's own childhood so a lot of the characters and events come from her own actual experiences. I'm glad my daughter was able to read it and that I was able to enjoy it also. Would definitely recommend. As a caveat to parents who care about this, there is one bad work in the book where one character calls another a name that starts with the letter b that is a term used to say someone is born out of wedlock. I feel it's OK for my daughter to read that word (not sure she even picked up on it) but figured some parents would feel differently.

When I think slow-cooker, I usually think "open and dump" kinds of recipes - not the type I would make for guests during the holidays. But this cookbook goes beyond that, to show how a slow-cooker can be a second oven. I've realized that a slow-cooker is something I can add to my arsenal of cooking methods to free up time (and oven space) right before dinner - which is helpful when having company. And who would've known you could things like cobbler, roll,s or lettuce wraps in a slow cooker?Even though it is a Holiday cookbook, Wilkes has covered a lot of bases with the different types of cuisine (soups for New Years, Asian food for Chinese New Year, Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo). There are even deserts, breakfasts and side dishes. So in the end I've used it for everyday cooking. There are plenty of recipes that can be ready in 2-4 hours so it has made it easy to make dinner or side dishes while my kids are napping in the afternoon. Also, whipping up a desert while dinner cooks and then letting it slow cook while we eat dinner means we get a desert too!Conclusion: this is a great cookbook to have in your collection to help diversify your methods of cooking and give timing options. The recipes are great and call for commonly used ingredients. Not to mention, the food tastes great, haven't found a dud yet.

So far, everything I’ve made from this book has been delicious. I have liked the flavors of the recipes so much I’ve even converted some of them to quick skillet recipes (it’s nice to have the option to slow cook them when I need to work during the day, but on the weekends I have time to cook a meal the regular way.). The lemon chicken pasta and Mongolian beef have been stand outs for our family.I also enjoy that this book is small, flexible, and lays flat when opened to look at recipes. It doesn’t take up much space but has great pictures of the recipes. Do not regret my purchase WHATSOEVER. Highly recommended.

I just recieved my Holiday Slow Cooker Cookbook. I ordered it yesterday and voila, it arrived today. The pictures are beautiful and each recipe looks clear and easy to follow. My husband just looked at the cookbook and said, "The pictures make a cookbook, and these look delicious!" I am ordering another one right now as a wedding present (don't tell my kids, but they are all getting one for Christmas!). Bravo to Leigh Anne Wilkes

I have been using this for two months. Every one of the recipes I've used have been delicious. We've done full course meals, to main course, and desserts. All have been easy, tasty, and inexpensive. My crock pot is a bit hotter so I just cook everything 45 minutes less then the cook book says. The recipes are easy to follow and the pictures are very appealing. My family loves it.

This is a wonderful cookbook! The format- foods by holidays- is a fresh approach and the recipes are as delicious as those I've been following on Leigh Anne's blog for years. While the recipes are aspirational, they are also easy to follow and the pictures look delicious. This is my go-to gift for special friends for this holiday! I cannot fully express how delightful this book is and would encourage everyone to get a copy. And if you want more-- just go the your home based mom blog. You'll start to look for her emails and ideas as you look for emails from your favorite friends!

This cook book has beautiful pictures and the recipes are fantastic! I have tried the Cranberry-Apple-Spiced Cider, Roasted Garlic Artichoke Dip and Cuban Pork Sandwiches - delicious! Looking forward to trying more recipes and I have purchased two more of this wonderful cook book as gifts.

Great recipes and great way to not only prepare but also keep my dishes hot throughout my parties. Not to mention the ease of prepping dinner even when I have to be out and about all day. Easy to follow and great photos. Especially love the personal explanation and hints.

I just received my cookbook and couldn't be more pleased. The recipes are unique and diversified. I had no idea I could use my crockpot for so many different dishes...and I've used it before a bunch...now I can put it to even better use. The pictures are beautiful too. I want to buy more copies for gifts.
